"Drug addiction's damage and threats to the society and to the health of the people"

The scientific practical conference was held in Zagatala region on "Drug addiction's damage and threats to the society and to the health of the people".

  Zagatala region's Police Department organized a conference at the Zagatala region's Heydar Aliyev Centre on 1st December 2016 with the participation of relevant state officials and representatives. It was a conference in relation with the execution of the the State Program, covering the period of 2013-2018 years, on "Fight against Drugs, Psychotropic substances and illicit trafficking of their precursors and Drug abuse"

  The participants laid flowers on the monument of the National Leader Haydar and honored the memory.

  After the national anthem Head of Executive Power of the Zagatala region opened the conference and spoke about its political and public importance.

  After than that Deputy Head of Military and Administrative organs at the Cabinet of Ministers, Chief of Zagatala region's Police Department, Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, State Commission's Workers' Group, the National Drug Center, and officials of the National AIDS Center talked on measures taken in connection with the execution of the State Program. The officials talked on drugs' and psychotropic substances' impact to the human body, the dynamics and prevention of drug-related crime. It was cleared that the aforementioned entities has focused on talks, educational explanations and legal advocacy measures.

  Slides and short video materials created by the State Commission's Labour Group are demonstrated during the event. Destructive effects of drugs on the human body, as well as the promotion of healthy lifestyles was screened. The demonstration caught attention of the participants.

  In addition, the State Commission distributed anti drug publicity materials important in fight against drug abuse.

  After the official part of the conference on the consequences of drug addiction school children from Zagatala watched the exhibition.
