According to the instructions of the Deputy Prime Mınister of the Republic of Azerbajan, the chairman of the State Commission on Fight against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking of Drugs, Mr. Ali Hasanov, on 31 May 2017, a meeting was hold at the Cabinet of Ministers with the representatives of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and with the representatives of the World Custums Organization's Global Container Control Programme.

   At the framework of the purpouse of the visit, the Global Container Control  Program's execution in Azerbaijan and future cooperation perspectives was discussed.

   The Head of the Department of Military and Administrative bodies of the Cabinet of Ministers, the member of the State Commission on Ffight against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking of Drugs, Mr. Elman Garayzada, the Head of the Foreign Economic Relations Department, Mr. Agadayi Agayev, the Head of the State Commission, Mr. Fagan Shahverdiyev, the regional coordinators of the Global Container Control Programme of the United Nations Ofice on Drugs and Crime, Mr.Batir Gerdiyev, Ms. Naida Djamilova, Tofig Murshudlu, Mr. Ketil Ottersen, Mr. Norbert Steilen, Igor Kondratyev, also project coordinator of the Azerbaijani office of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, Ms. Sevil Ganbarova participated at the meeting.

   The “country report of the Republic of Azerbaijan on drugs control” prepared by the State Commission in Azerbaijani and English was presented to the delegation of the UN.
