According to the instructions of the Deputy Minister of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Chairman of the State Commission on Fight against Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of drugs Mr. Ali Hasanov and as the implementation of the Action Plan of the State Program on drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors’ illegal trafficking during the 2013-2018 years”, an awareness-raising event conducted on 06 October in the Ismayilli region with initiative of the Working Group of the State Commission.

   Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Drug Center of the Ministry of Health, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs were also present during the event. Representatives of the relevant state agencies made speeches on the subject and provided information and recommendations on the destructive effects of drugs on the human body, the tragedies caused by drug addiction, AIDS, and some other terrible diseases. 

   The necessary visual aids prepared by the State Commission's Working Group were distributed to the participants.
