According to the order of Mr. Ali Hasanov, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Chairman of the State Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Drug Trafficking, on May 16, 2018, confiscated more than 892 kilogramsof different  types  of  narcotic drugs  and psychotropic substances due to 388 sentence of judgement in the administrative territory of “Machine-building Plant”, including 6453 hemp plants, narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors that were confiscated with the organization of the Working Group of the State Commission were demolished by the Destruction Commission.

 The destructed narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors consisted of  468 kg 658,155 grams of marijuana, 217 kg 096,701 grams of heroin, 183 kg 025,135 grams of opium, 22 kg 848,734 grams of  hashish and 18462 psychotropic substances. (The total value of destroyed drugs in the black market is 16 million manat).

   The demolition process was broadcasted by television channels and mass media  operating in the republic.
