In accordance with the "State Program for the 2013-2018 on Illicit Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Their Precursors and the Struggle Against Narcotics" an awareness-raising event was held on the topic "Learn the truth about narcotics and psychotropic substances" at the Special Boarding School № 9 located in the Sahil settlement of Garadagh District on December 4, 2018.

  At the event, the employees of the Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking of the Garadagh District Executive Committee, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Health, including the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs made speeches on the topic, informed the listeners about the destructive effects of drugs on human organisms, and gave detailed information about the damage to society and the health of people and the social problems they committed. Particular attention was paid to the effective organization of leisure, sports, art and social work.

  At the same time, within the framework of the event the memory and warning brochures prepared by the Working Group of the State Commission were distributed to the participants in order to help them identify the users of psychotropic substances and drugs and prevent themselves from non-medical users of narcotics.
