On May 02-03, 2019, the Regional Forum of Youth on Combating Drug Abuse and Violence was held in Aghjabadi district. The purpose of the forum is to raise awareness of the region's youth on health, to promote awareness on healthy lifestyles, to support the development of new initiatives in this area, as well as to create joint opportunities for the fight against drug abuse and violence among youth.

    The forum, organized  by initiative of Karabakh Regional Office of Youth Education Center with the participation of Aghjabadi District Executive Committee, Women's Council of the New Azerbaijan Party Regional Committee, State Committee for Family, Women and Children, the Working Group of the State Commission on Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking, UN Children`s Fund  (UNICEF) Azerbaijan Office and the Aghjabadi district police and education departments, lasted two days.

  Speakers at the forum spoke about the consequences of one of the biggest problems of humanity, the consequences of addiction to psychotropic substances and other harmful habits, the dangers posed by the health of the younger generation, the dangers of genocide and the fight against public health.

   The booklets were distributed to the participants of the event and the questions were answered.

  The Regional Forum will continue with training seminars for teenagers and young people on “Learn the Truth about Drugs”, “Child Protection System in Azerbaijan”, “Child Rights”, Socio-Psychological Prevention with Families of Mistreated Children, "Causes and Prevention of Suicide.
