Seminar-training was held in the Youth House in Binagadi district under the project “Conducting awareness raising activities in the field of drug addiction” with the assistance of the Council of State Support to NGOs under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

  Deputy Head of the Working Group of the State Commission on Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking Tanriverdi Aydinov, Deputy Head of Binagadi District Executive Power, Aygun Aliyeva, District Police Officer, Lieutenant-Colonel,Jeyhun Shabanov and others stressed making their speech that struggling against drug abuse is one of the main priorities of the state policy and it is the indicator of the President Ilham Aliyev's principal and uncompromising  position against this social tragedy. It was noted that the strategy set by the Azerbaijani government on this problem is being successfully implemented, and the steps to bring up the young generation in the spirit of healthy and high ideals are being taken.

  The speeches provided detailed information on the drug addiction and its consequences, and highlighted the serious problems that the "white death" commited for the family and society. Young people are also told that healthy lifestyles are the only way to spiritual purity and physical health, and teenagers and young people are encouraged to say, "No to drugs!"

  After the training, the participants had interactive discussions around the topic and were given printed materials and educational booklets on the fight against drug addiction.

  In their speeches, the participants expressed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the high attention and care for the welfare of the citizens and their health.
