On October 31 of the current year, the Working Group of the State Commission jointly with Lankaran region Executive Power , held  an event  in order to strengthen the  control over the implementation of the "State Program for 2019-2024 on Illicit Trafficking of Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and their Precursors as well as Prevention of Drug Addiction" and to coordinate the work with relevant local authorities during its implementation.
  The members of the State Commission for Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking, members of the Regional Commission and the members of the relevant government agencies participated at the event that was held in Haydar Aliyev center.
The speeches were about the disruptive effects of drugs on the human body, the tragedies caused by drug addiction, and wide information was given about the prevention of AIDS, and some other horrible diseases,at the same time discussions were held on the questions that interested the participants.
  At the same time, recommendations were made to involve public figures and clergy in these events, and to expand contacts between municipalities, police, education workers, labor collectives and relevant commissions were brought into their attention.
As a result, the city commission was helped with methodical assistance and  was provided  with necessary visual aids.
