On October 31 of this year,  the Working Group of the State Commission jointly with Ganja region Executive Power , held  an event  in order to strengthen the  control over the implementation of the "State Program for 2019-2024 on Illicit Trafficking of Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and their Precursors as well as Prevention of Drug Addiction" and to coordinate the work with relevant local authorities during its implementation.

  The members of the State Commission for Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking, members of the Regional Commission and the members of the relevant government agencies participated at the event

  The speeches include the disruptive effects of drugs on the human body, the tragedies caused by drug addiction, the increased attention of city and district commission to prevent drug addiction, and the involvement of public, religious figures, municipalities, police, education workers, labor collectives and expansion of contacts among relevant commissions, recommendations were also made to prevent the spread of AIDS and a number of other horrible diseases. In addition, there were extensive discussions on the issues that interested the participants.

 The city commission was helped with methodical assistance and was provided with necessary visual aids.
