On November 1 of the current year, the Working Group of the State Commission jointly with Lerik region Executive Power , held  an event  in order to strengthen the  control over the implementation of the "State Program for 2019-2024 on Illicit Trafficking of Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and their Precursors as well as Prevention of Drug Addiction" and to coordinate the work with relevant local authorities during its implementation.

 The members of the Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking, members of the District Commission and representatives of relevant government agencies and shoolchildren participated at the event.

  In their speeches, the participants gave detailed information on the destructive effects of drugs to human body, the committed damage and social disaster to society and human health and the prevention of the spread of AIDS and several other dangerous diseases.

  At the same time, recommendations were made to involve public figures and clergy in these events, and to expand contacts between municipalities, police, education workers, labor collectives and relevant commissions.

 Also, extensive discussions were held around the questions that interested the participants.The district commission was helped with methodological assistance and also was provided with the necessary visual aids within the framework of the event.
