A public awareness event was held on November 14 of this year among  enlisted in the military regiment of the Ministry of Justice's Penitentiary Service on the disruptive effects of the drug addiction to society and human health due to the paragraph 4.4.33 of the "State Program on Illicit Drug Trafficking ,Psychotropic Substances and their Precursors as well as Prevention of Drug Addiction for 2019-2024" approved by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev No. 1334 dated July 22, 2019.

  The President of the Azerbaijan National NGO Forum, a member of the State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking, Deputy Head of the Working Group of the State Commission, Head of the Department of the Republican Narcology Center of the Ministry of Health ,employees of the Department of Education of the Ministry of Justice's Penitentiary Service and the Main department of Medicine made speeches around the subject and gave detailed information about  the prevention of drug-related crime cases, as well as on the harmful effects of drugs on the human body and the social problems they caused.

  Finally, visual aids, educational booklets and leaflets on the consequences of drugs prepared by the Working Group of the State Commission were distributed among the participants.
