An enlightenment event on “The role of youth in the fight against drug addiction” was held on November 29 of the current year at the school № 220 in Nizami district.

  The event was organized by the Working Group of the State Commission jointly with the Nizami District Executive Power on the propaganda of the prevention of drug addiction and provision of strengthening and sustainability of enlightenment work,  in accordance with the "State Program for 2019-2024 on Combating the Illicit Trafficking of Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and their Precursors as well as Fight against drug Addiction”.

 The First Deputy Head of the Nizami District Executive Power, Deputy Chairman of the Working Group of the State Commission  and Head of the Sector, Representative of the State Committee on Religious Injuries, Chairman of the District Council of Elders, as well as other relevant government agencies made speeches on the issue, gave information  and advice on the disruptive effects of drug addiction, tragedies caused by drug addiction, extension of the attention on the future enlightenment events and spreading ways of AIDS and other horrible disasters, also extensive discussions were held on the issues that interested the participants.

 At the same time, an enlightenment spectacle "Let's Say No to Drugs" was performed by the students.

 Also, necessary materials prepared by the Working Group of the State Commission were distributed among the participants within the framework of the event.
