An employee of the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission took part in the next 8th meeting of the Subcommittee on Justice, Freedom and Security, Human Rights and Democracy within the EU-Azerbaijan Cooperation Committee on March 4-5, 2020 in Brussels.

  On the second day of the meeting, the subcommittee continued to exchange views on the illicit trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances in Azerbaijan and the European Union. The discussions focused on reforms in the policy of combating illicit trafficking in drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors in Azerbaijan and changes in legislation in this area were reported, also information was provided on measures taken in this direction as well as statistics on detected crimes and confiscated drugs over the past ten years
