The next meeting of the State Commission on Combating Drug Trafficking was held in a video conference format in connection with the implementation of the “State Program for 2019-2024 on Combating Illicit Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Their Precursors and Drug Addiction ” approved by the Order No. 1334 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated July 22, 2019.

   The done work, the results achieved in 2020 within the Action Plan on the implementation of the State Program and the tasks ahead were discussed at a meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking Ali Ahmadov on February 16, 2021.

   The chairman of the commission gave instructions on the implementation of the forthcoming tasks, including the continuation of cooperation with specialized international organizations, improvement of legislation, strengthening control in these areas, awareness-raising activities on the relevant topic.
