An online event on "Drug is a borderless disaster" was organized by the Azerbaijan Technical University and the Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking on April 7of the current year.

   Speaking at the video conference, Isa Khalilov, Vice-Rector for Education, and Ilham Pirmammadov, Vice-Rector for Science and Technology, spoke about the importance of the meeting. It was noted that in connection with the implementation of the State Program, a relevant action plan has been prepared at AzTU and purposeful work is being done in this direction.

   Then Ragif Allahverdiyev- Sector Director of the Working Group of the State Commission, Arastun Mammadov - Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics of AzTU, Ayten Sadigov- Head of the SABAH Group of the University, Lala Piriyeva- Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Head of the Department of Humanities Habib Mirzayev ,Chairman of the Student Youth Organization -Lala Rustamova gave detailed information and recommendations on the consequences of drugs and psychotropic substances, their devastating effects on the human body, the importance of early treatment and enlightenment in the fight against drug addiction, increased attention to preventive measures and at the same time extensive discussions were held and students' questions were answered.

  Representatives of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Sumgayit State University, Mingachevir State University, Lankaran State University, Azerbaijan University and Khazar University also attended the event.
