An online scientific-practical conference on the implementation of the project was organized by Baku State University on April 29 on   “State Program for 2019-2024 on Combating Illicit Trafficking of  Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and their Precursors and Drug Addiction ” approved by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 1334 dated July 22, 2019.

    Dean of the Faculty of Law of Baku State University, Head of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of BSU, First Deputy Head of the Heydar Aliyev Academy of the State Security Service, Head of the Criminal Law Department of the Heydar Aliyev Academy of the State Security Service of Azerbaijan, Head of the Criminal Procedure Department of BSU, BSU Head of the Department of Criminology and Forensic Science, Chief of the Research and Editing Department of the Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Head of the Criminal Procedure Department of the Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Head of the Complex Expertise Department of the Forensic Medical Expertise and Pathological Anatomy Association of the Ministry of Health, responsible employee of the working group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a teacher of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of BSU,  a teacher of the Academy of State Security Service named after Haydar Aliyev, head teacher  of the Department of Criminal Procedure, Criminology and Forensics of the Academy of Justice of the Ministry of Justice, assistant professor of the Department of Criminology and Forensics of BSU and representatives of relevant agencies as well as 120 students took part in the conference.

   Speakers provided detailed information and recommendations on the consequences of drugs and psychotropic substances, their destructive effects on the human body, the importance of early detection in the fight against drug addiction, increased attention to preventive measures, discussions were held and questions of interest were answered.
