An online conference on "The role of education in the fight against drug addiction" was organized by the Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking and the Guba Branch of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University on May 24 of the current year.

The director and the deputy director of the Guba branch of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, sector director of the State Commission for Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking, more than 50 teachers and students participated in the event.

   Speakers at the video conference provided detailed information and recommendations on the effects of drugs and psychotropic substances, their devastating effects on the human body, the importance of early treatment and awareness raising ,the urgency of increasing attention to public awareness events, the role of youth and student organizations in combating drug addiction and at the same time had a broad  discussions and answered the questions of the students.
