On June 30, 2021, an online event entitled "Let's learn the truth about drugs" was organized at the Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management.

    Opening the video conference, Rector of the University Ilham Madatov noted that the fight against drug addiction and drug trafficking in our country is always on the agenda and the law enforcement agencies are required to evaluate and strengthen their activities in this area is one of the concrete indicators of Azerbaijan's resolute position. ATMU fully supports the policy of our state in this area to prevent the spread of drugs in our country and at the same time the university is interested in mobilizing all opportunities for young people to stay away from this scourge.

   Then Ragif Allahverdiyev, Sector Director of the Working Group of the State Commission, Emil Magalov, Coordinator of the "Risk Reduction" project of the Ministry of Health in Sumgayit, Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology, Associate Professor Vasif Muradzadeh  spoke about strengthening the fight against drugs in our country, the importance of anti-drug propaganda, the importance of returning drug addicts to a healthy life, the potential of drugs to erode the moral and intellectual potential of society, the decline of the gene pool and other negative issues were discussed and numerous questions from students on the subject were answered.
