On September 17, 2021, at the initiative of the Public Control Center, a video conference meeting on "Fight against drugs and civil society" was held.

   Member of the State Commission, President of the Azerbaijan National Non-Governmental Organizations Forum, working group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Emergency Situations, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Agriculture, State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, Representatives of city and district executive authorities, as well as chairmen of a number of non-governmental organizations attended.

    The event focused on the role of the state in the fight against drug addiction and drug trafficking in the country, the legislation governing this area, the tasks set for government agencies and non-governmental organizations in the State Program, the results achieved by relevant agencies in cooperation with non-governmental organizations and also detailed information was provided on the work to be done.

   At the same time, the results of the control measures were discussed and relevant proposals were made on increasing the effectiveness of treatment, expanding the scope of public awareness activities and the importance of the participation of civil society institutions in these areas.
