Training on drug addiction were held on December 3 of this year for deputy directors, class teachers and school psychologists on general education schools of Pirallahi district in order to implement the relevant item of the Action Plan, signed by the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking  jointly with the Baku City Education Department.

  The training on "Drug addiction, its psychological causes and the work to be done at school" was attended by a representative of the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission and on the basis of the presentation he gave detailed information about the causes of drug addiction, mental and physical dependence on drugs, changes in behavior, taking preventive measures by pedagogues, subject teachers and psychologists in the fight against drugs and other issues. Afterwards, there were extensive discussions on the issues of interest to teachers.

  Participants were given the certificates prepared by the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission and at the same time  a booklet on methodological recommendations containing  the risk factors of the use of psychoactive substances, the stages of drug addiction, the characteristics of psychoactive substances and harmful effects on health as well as an action plan on preventive measures and other necessary information was given to them.
