On December 14 of the current year, the Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking and the Yasamal District Executive Power jointly organized an awareness-raising event at secondary school №153.

The Permanent Working Group of the State Commission, Yasamal District Executive Power, the Main Department for Combating Drugs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Republican Narcology Center of the Ministry of Health participated at the event and made a speech on the theme.

 The speakers informed the participants about the negative effects of drugs on human life and health, moral values and socio-economic development and also  gave detailed information  on the legal framework for combating the consequences of drug addiction.

 The participants were also provided with detailed information on the prevention of drug-related crimes, as well as the devastating effects of drugs on the human body and the social evils they cause, the prevention of the spread of AIDS and a number of other terrible diseases. In particular, the importance of effective organization of leisure time, sports, art and community service was emphasized.

  In addition, extensive discussions were held on issues of interest to the participants of the event.

  At the same time, the necessary propaganda materials prepared by the Working Group of the State Commission were given to the participants.
