An enlightenment  event on "The role of youth in the fight against drug addiction" was organized by the Working Group and the Socio-Economic College under the Azerbaijan State University of Economics on December 15 of this year, in accordance with paragraph 4.4.17 of the Action Plan for the implementation of the "State Program on Combating Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and their Precursors and Drug Addiction for 2019-2024".

  Representatives of Working Group of the State Commission , the Interior Ministry's Main Drug Control Department, the Republican Narcology Center of the Ministry of Health, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children and the Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency spoke on the topic and gave  the necessary information to students  about the risk factors of drug use, the stages of drug addiction, the characteristics of psychoactive substances and their harmful effects on health.

   At the end, the necessary propaganda materials prepared by the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission were presented to the participants.
