An awareness-raising event was organized by the Shirvan City Executive Power and the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission on December 24 of the current year in Shirvan at  the State College of Economics and Humanities in accordance with the "State Program on Combating Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and their Precursors and Drug Addiction for 2019-2024".

  Representatives of the Office of the Mayor of Shirvan, the Working Group of the State Commission, as well as the city education department, youth and sports department, doctor, drug and police department participated at the event and spoke on the topic.

  The speeches provided detailed information on the tragedies caused by drug addiction, dependence on drug addiction, the fight against illicit trafficking in psychoactive substances, the destructive effects of drugs on the human body, as well as the effective organization of leisure time of adolescents. Afterwards, extensive discussions were held on the issues of interest to students.

  At the end, the participants were presented with the necessary propaganda materials on "Know the truth about drugs", "The truth about marijuana" and "The truth about psychotropic substances" prepared by the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission.
