Within the framework of the implementation of the Action Plan approved between the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice and the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, awareness-raising event on the harm of drug addiction to society and human health was held in the Penitentiary Service Security Regiment on February 11 to strengthen propaganda work among conscripts, as well as other servicemen.

   Sector Director of the Working Group of the Commission, Chief Operational Officer of the Main Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, employee of the Department of Education of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice, doctor-narcologist of the Baku Narcology Center of the Ministry of Health and a representative of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children made a speech on the topic.

   The speeches provided detailed information on the prevention of drug-related crimes, as well as the destructive effects of drugs on the human body, the social evils they cause and the role of the state in organizing the fight in this direction.

   At the end, the necessary propaganda materials prepared by the Working Group of the State Commission were distributed among the participants.
