Action Plan to Expand Advocacy and Awareness Against Drug Abuse among Adolescents and Youth Approved

  Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking Ali Ahmadov approved the "Action Plan for 2022-2023 to expand anti-drug propaganda and awareness among adolescents and young people."

 Action Plan serves to unite efforts of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Education, State Committee for Family, Women and Children, State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking to combat drug addiction, as well as to allow the fight against drug addiction to be carried out in a systematic and coherent manner.

  Within the framework of the Action Plan,it is planned to carry out relevant work on social research on drug knowledge, attitudes and behaviors among adolescents and young people and identification of risk factors, development of manuals, training for youth professionals, capacity building and civil society participation, development of communication channels, organization of preventive activities.
