In order to further strengthen and expand anti-drug propaganda in May of this year, awareness-raising activities, seminars were organized by the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission with the participation of representatives of the Main Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and secondary special education institutions, Youth Development and Career Centers in cities and regions, penitentiaries of the Penitentiary Service, as well as city and district executive authorities.

  Thus ,in accordance with the action plan signed between the Youth Foundation, trainings were held to increase the knowledge and professionalism of specialists and employees, volunteers of the Youth Development and Career Center in Guba, Gusar, Khachmaz, Shabran, Siyazan, Khizi cities and regions and relevant certificates were presented to the participants.

  At the same time, with the initiative and participation of the staff of the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission awareness-raising events on drug addiction were organized with the participation of teenagers and young people in the assembly halls of Ujar, Zardab, Agdash Executive Powers, Yevlakh District Children's Creativity Center, Kurdamir District Heydar Aliyev Center, New Azerbaijan Party Goychay District Organization, Guba State Socio-Economic College, Khachmaz City School-Lyceum № 8 named after Zarifa Aliyeva,Shabran district secondary school № 5, Siyazan secondary school №2, Gusar district secondary school № 4.

  Also, meetings were held with members of the relevant commissions under the executive authorities of all the above-mentioned cities and districts, discussions were held on compliance with the requirements of the existing rules and regulations in the organization of the process of destruction of small quantities of drugs with confiscation in accordance with the law and the necessary visual propaganda materials were provided to them with methodological assistance.

  In addition, awareness-raising events were organized on May 24 to strengthen awareness among prisoners about the harm of drug addiction to society and human health as part of the implementation of the Action Plan approved between the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice and the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission.

  Thus, in May of this year, a total of 32 events (12 meetings with city / district commissions, 12 events in general education and secondary special education institutions, 6 trainings in YDCC offices in cities and regions, 2 meetings in penitentiaries) were organized in 12 cities and regions of the country and in penitentiaries.
