An enlightenment event was organized by the Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs and the Gobustan District Executive Authority in connection with June 26 UN "Anti-Narcotics Day".

  First, discussions were held with the members of the relevant commission of the region, necessary recommendations were given for more effective implementation of the tasks.

  The Deputy Head of the Gobustan District Executive Power, the responsible employee of the State Commission for the Fight against Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotics, and representatives of the regional commission participated at the event. The speakers gave detailed information about the risk factors of drug use, the negative effects of drug addiction on people's lives and health, moral values and socio-economic development, increasing attention to the efficient organization of leisure time, the legal basis of the fight against the consequences of drug addiction, and other issues and discussions were held on questions of interest to the participants.

   At the end, the participants of the event were presented with a booklet called "Methodical recommendations to help identify people who abuse narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances" as well as  other necessary propaganda materials prepared by the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission.
