The event was organized by the Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs and the Executive Power of Lerik region in connection with June 26 the UN "Anti-Narcotics Day".

  First of all, discussions were held with the members of the relevant commission for the region, necessary recommendations were given for more effective implementation of the tasks.

  The Deputy Head of the Lerik district Executive Power, the Deputy Head of the Working Group and Sector manager of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, an employee of the Main Anti-Narcotics Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and representatives of the regional commission participated at the event. The speakers gave detailed information on the risk factors of drug use, the negative effects of drug addiction on people's lives and health, moral values and socio-economic development, increasing attention to the efficient organization of leisure time, the legal basis of the fight against the consequences of drug addiction, and other issues, and also discussions were held on questions of interest to the participants.

  At the end, the participants of the event were presented with a booklet called "Methodical recommendations to help identify people who abuse narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances" and other necessary propaganda materials prepared by the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission.
