The event was organized by the Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs and the Executive Power of Shamakhi District in connection with June 26 the UN “Anti-Narcotics Day”.

  First of all, discussions were held with the members of the relevant commission of the region, necessary recommendations were given for more effective implementation of the tasks.

  The 1st Deputy Head of the Executive Power of Lerik district, the responsible employee of the Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotics, and representatives of the regional commission participated at the event. The speakers gave detailed information about the risk factors of drug use, the negative effects of drug addiction on people's lives and health, moral values and socio-economic development, increasing attention to the efficient organization of leisure time, the legal basis of the fight against the consequences of drug addiction, and other issues, and discussion were held around the questions of interest to the participants.

  At the same time, the participants of the event were presented with a booklet called "Methodical recommendations to help identify persons who abuse narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances" and other necessary propaganda materials prepared by the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission.
