An educational event for young people was held at the Resource Center of Youth Organizations (Globus Center) in connection with June 26 UN "Anti-Narcotics Day". A member of the Milli Majlis, the General Anti-Narcotics Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotics, the State Committee on Family, Women and Children's Problems, Representatives of the Ombudsman and young people participated at the event organized by the "Youth Anti-Drug Abuse" public association.

  At the event, detailed information was provided on the risk factors of drug use, the negative effects of drug addiction on people's lives and health, moral values and socio-economic development, increasing attention to the efficient organization of leisure time, the legal basis of the fight against the consequences of drug addiction, and other issues, discussions were held on questions of interest to the participants.

  In the end, a group of young people was awarded with letters of thanks by the public association "Youth Anti-Drug Abuse" for their selfless fight against drug addiction and their activity in the proper organization of their free time.
