"Let's own our future - Say no to drugs!" a cultural-mass event was held on July 6, at the Rashid Behbudov Song Theater, with the participation of state institutions, art representatives, and party activists within the framework of the Action Plan for 2022 jointly signed by the Central Office of the New Azerbaijan Party, the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking, and "Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting" Closed Joint Stock Company in connection with the implementation of the "State Program for the years 2019-2024 on the illegal circulation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors and the fight against drug addiction" approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated July 22, 2019 No. 1334
Deputy Head of the International Relations and Humanitarian Affairs Department of the YAP Central Office- Mahammad Maharramov, Deputy Head of the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotics- Tanriverdi Aydinov and others made a speech at the event and mentioned that drug addiction is a serious social problem of modern times for all mankind. Since the borderless spread of drug addiction, which is a universal problem, has become one of the most important issues for our country to solve, our state has mobilized all its forces and capabilities and joined the international struggle to eradicate this scourge, the necessary legislative framework has been created and institutional reforms have been implemented. Among the measures implemented in the direction of the formation of a healthy generation, which is the main task in the state policy of Azerbaijan the fight against drug addiction, which is emphasized as an important direction, is not a campaign, but a continuous policy.
The main goal of today's event is to ensure our healthy future. It was noted that everyone should take an uncompromising position on this issue and fight decisively against the universal problem. It is gratifying that today every state body and institution, as well as relevant organizations, are trying to contribute to the full achievement of the set goals by performing their duties at the required level, which naturally shows positive results.
The event, jointly organized by the YAP Central Office, Sabail regional organization and "Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting" Closed Joint Stock Company, continued with a concert program presented by art representatives and "Jengi" pop folk ensemble.
