During January-June 2022, the results of the fight against drug addiction and the illegal circulation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors have been comparatively analyzed and summarized by the Permanent Working group of the State Commission.

  A total of 5,778 criminal facts were discovered as a result of the complex investigative measures implemented by law enforcement agencies in the field of combating drug addiction and illegal drug trafficking. Of them, 2,053 were related to the illegal sale of narcotic drugs, 3,463 were related to the illegal acquisition and storage of narcotic drugs, 206 were related to the illegal cultivation of narcotic plants, and 56 were related to other crimes of this category.

   According to the discovered facts , 3 tons 418 kg 320.92 g and 24,650 pills of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances  was generally confiscated from illegal circulation, of which 1 ton 497 kg 266,592 g was heroin, 1 ton 028 kg 428,674 g was marijuana, 198 kg 089,061 g was marijuana, 198 kq 089,061 g was opium,  20 kg 547,544 g was hashish, 199 g was cocaine, 115 kg 821,557 g was other drugs and  557 kg 968,492 g was psychotropic substances . Also, during the specified period, 1 kg 485.4 g of powerful substance, 10 kg 037.6 g of toxic substance, 56958 pieces of narcotic hemp plants were taken from illegal circulation.

  4091 people were brought to criminal liability related to illegal drug trafficking, of which 7 people under 16-18 years old, 306 people under 18-25 years old, 710 people under 26-29 years old, and 3068 people over 30 years old. 3980 of those persons were men and 111 were women. 54 of the people who were brought to criminal responsibility are citizens of foreign countries.

  Of the 54 citizens of foreign countries brought to justice, 22 were citizens of the Islamic Republic of Iran, 7 of Georgia, 8 of Turkey, 1 of Turkmenistan, 1 of Kyrgyzstan, 1 of Pakistan, 1 of Ukraine, and 13 of Russia. . A total of 936 kg 422,285 g and 4078 pills of various types of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, as well as 16759 pieces of hemp plants containing narcotics were taken from the citizens of foreign countries.

  During 6 months of 2022, 134 facts related to the smuggling of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances into the country were discovered by law enforcement agencies, and according to those facts, the total weight of 1 ton 704 kg 776,032 g and 2048 capsules of various types of narcotic drugs were seized from illegal circulation and psychotropic substances have been removed.

  In total, 166 of the detected crimes were committed in a group, and according to those facts, narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances weighing 1 ton, 073 kg, 648.3 g and 7,558 pills were confiscated.
