A round table was organized by the Working Group of the State Commission and the Salyan District Executive Authority in connection with the implementation of clause 4.4.6 of the Action Plan for the implementation of the "2019-2024 State Program on the fight against illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors and the fight against drug addiction"in order to increase the quality of preventive measures and the professionalism of those who implement those measures.

  Before the event, a meeting was held with the members of the relevant commission for the region, discussions were held, along with methodical assistance, necessary visual propaganda materials were presented.

  The organized round table was attended by the representatives of Salyan district Executive Power, the employee of the Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotics, the doctor-narcologist of the Republican Narcology Center of the Ministry of Health and the representatives of the district commission.

  In the speeches,  it was emphasized the necessity of  increasing  the attention to the measures to be implemented related to the prevention of drug addiction, involving public representatives and religious figures in such measures, expanding relations between the municipality, police authorities, education workers, labor collectives and relevant commissions, as well as expanding public awareness work and the necessity of continuing the relevant works in the direction of explaining to the population the provisions and requirements of the legislation on the fight against the illegal circulation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors.
  At the same time, the Working Group of the State Commission distributed memory booklets and warning leaflets to the participants of the event for the purpose of prevention of non-medical consumption of narcotic substances, identification of persons abusing narcotics and psychotropic substances.
