In connection with the implementation of clause 4.4.6 of the Action Plan for the implementation of the "2019-2024 State Program on the fight against the illegal circulation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors and the fight against drug addiction" an awareness event was organized at the Heydar Aliyev Center, jointly organized by the Working Group of the State Commission and the Saatli District Executive Authority in order to increase the quality of preventive measures and the professionalism of those who implement those measures among people who abuse narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
Before the event, a meeting was held with the members of the relevant commission for the region, discussions were held and along with methodical assistance, necessary visual propaganda materials were presented.
Representatives of the Saatli District Executive Power, an employee of the Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking in Drugs, a doctor-narcologist of the Republican Narcology Center of the Ministry of Health, and representatives of the regional commission participated at the organized event.
In the speeches, it was emphasized to increase the attention to measures to be implemented related to the prevention of drug addiction, to involve the public representatives and religious figures in such measures, to expand the relations between municipalities, police bodies, education workers, labor collectives and relevant commissions, as well as expansion of public education, control of drugs, the necessity of continuing the relevant works in the direction of explaining to the population the provisions and requirements of the legislation on the fight against the illegal circulation of psychotropic substances and their precursors.
At the same time, the Working Group of the State Commission distributed memory booklets and warning leaflets to the participants of the event for the purpose of prevention of non-medical consumption of narcotic substances, identification of persons abusing narcotics and psychotropic substances.
