An educational event called "The fight against drug addiction is everyone"s civic duty" was held in the assembly hall of the Shirvan State College of Economics and Humanitarian Affairs with the joint organization of the Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotics and the Shirvan City Executive Authority.

 Deputy Head of Shirvan City Executive Authority Orkhan Ibrahimov, Chief Advisor of the Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotics Means Shahin Ismayilov, Advisor of the Legal Department of Shirvan City Executive Authority Azer Huseynov, Deputy Head of Shirvan City Police Department Kamaladdin Mammadov, Shirvan State Economy and Director of Humanities College Barkhudar Barkhudarov, Deputy Head of Youth and Sports Department Rovshan Mehraliyev, Director of Shirvan "Youth House" Social Service Institution Afgan Hasanov, Director of Vocational Lyceum Elnur Novruzov, Head of Public Security Department Agshin Mammadli, teachers and students of the College participated at the event.

 Şahin Ismayilov, chief advisor of the Working Group of the State Commission for the Fight against Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, spoke about the measures taken at the state level to fight against drug addiction and illegal drug trafficking as well as  the successful implementation of the Laws and State Programs adopted in order to ensure a decisive fight in this field and at the same time he gave information about the activities of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotics. At the same time, through the presentation, he gave detailed information about the negative effects of drugs on the human body and their fatal consequences.

 Azer Huseynov, consultant of the legal department of the Shirvan City Executive Authority, brought to their attention the work of the Commission on the Fight against Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotic Means, established by the Order of the head of the City Executive Authority, the damage of drug addiction to the society, the strengthening of propaganda and education in the fight against it, the upbringing of teenagers and young people in the spirit of a healthy lifestyle as well as  regular mass events that are organized in the administrations, enterprises and organizations of the city to return them to a healthy environment, against the spread of various harmful habits.

  Then the deputy of the Shirvan City Police Department Kamaladdin Mammadov, the director of the Shirvan "Youth House" Social Service Institution Afgan Huseynov, and the director of the Vocational High School Elnur Novruzov said that drug addiction is currently a great threat in the world, that the "white death" destroys young people and young families, and that a healthy lifestyle they emphasized the importance of promoting and protecting spiritual and moral values, and the importance of educational events organized by the City Executive Authority in this regard. They noted that the Shirvan and City Police Departments have implemented strict measures against drug addiction and illegal drug trafficking, many drug dealers have been brought to justice in a short period of time, and public stability has been ensured in the city.

  At the end of the event, necessary propaganda materials prepared by the Working Group of the State Commission end "Know the truth about narcotics", "The truth about marijuana" and "The truth about psychotropic substances" were distributed among the participants.
