An educational event was organized at the Social and Agrarian-Technological College of Lankaran State University on April 11 of the current year within the framework of the project "Conducting an awareness campaign to stimulate the fight against drug addiction among young people in the border regions" with the joint organization of the permanent Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs and "Youth Anti-Drug Abuse" public association.

   At the event, employees of the Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Drugs, the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, and regional law enforcement agencies spoke and discussed the problems caused by drugs for society, the consequences they cause, the stages of drug addiction formation, the properties of psychoactive substances and their harmful effects on health have been widely reported.

   Then the students" questions were answered and opinions were exchanged on the topic.

  At the end, the booklets "Know the truth about narcotics", "The truth about marijuana" and "The truth about psychotropic substances" prepared by the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission were presented to the participants.
