On April 26 of the current year, the process of destruction of 4 tons 646 kg of various types of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors confiscated by the decisions of the courts was carried out in the administrative territory of "Baku Oil Machinery Plant" LLC that was organized by the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking in Narcotics.

   In the process of drug destruction, the Working Group of the General Prosecutor"s Office, the Supreme Court, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health, the State Security Service, the State Customs Committee, the State Border Service and the State Commission, which are members of the Commission for the Destruction of Confiscated narcotics, psychotropic substances and their precursors representatives participated.

   In total, 2 tons 568 kg 614,733 g of heroin, 1 ton 404 kg 411,584 g of marijuana, 228 kg 669.39 g of opium, 71 kg 818,847 g of hashish, 519,114 g of cocaine and 75,802 pills of methadone, 3 72 kg 265,438 grams and 5142 pieces of psychotropic substances, various types of narcotics, psychotropic substances and 39031 pieces of hemp plants, as well as 77822 pills, 9122 capsules, 29 vials, 59 ampoules, 180.4 grams of powerful substances was destroyed by burning with the participation of representatives of relevant organizations and mass media.
