On June 6 of the current year, Baku city held an educational event in connection with "June 26 - International Day of Combating Drug Abuse and Illegal Trafficking" in secondary school № 52 of Yasamal district signed jointly with the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking with the Permanent Working Group of the Baku City Education Department in order to implement the relevant clause of the Action Plan.

  Representatives of the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, the Department of Education for Baku City, the General Anti-Narcotics Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Executive Power of Baku City and the Drug Center for Baku City took part in the event.

  The students were given detailed information about the tragedies caused by drug addiction, the fight against the illegal circulation of psychoactive substances, the destructive effects of drugs on the human body, as well as the effective organization of free time.

  At the end, the booklets "Know the truth about narcotics", "The truth about marijuana" and "The truth about psychotropic substances" prepared by the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission were presented to the participants.
