On September 28, in accordance with the joint Action Plan for 2023 of the Central Office of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP), the "Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting" Closed Joint Stock Company and the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking An event on "Healthy future, happy society" was held in Agjabedi district.
First, the participants of the event visited the monument of Heydar Aliyev, the founder of the modern independent state of Azerbaijan, the National Leader of our people, and laid flowers in front of the monument. The dear memory of the genius was commemorated with deep respect and reverence.
Then the Alley of Martyrs was visited, and the memory of the heroic children of the Motherland, who died in the struggle for the freedom and sovereignty of our country, was commemorated with respect.
Young people representing Agjabedi, Aghdam, Barda, Fuzuli, Khojavand and Tarter regions took part in the event held at the Agjabedi District Culture House.
The chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party Agjabedi district organization- Rovshan Ahmadov, Zakiya Musayeva- Deputy Head of the Department of Gender Policy and Youth Work of the YAP Central Office, Deputy Head of Agjabedi District Executive Power, Khatai Zeynalov -Chairman of the Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking, which operates under the Head of the Executive Power, Ragif Allahverdiyev- Head of the National Information Sector of the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, and Elmir Demirchiyev- Deputy Chief of Operations of Agjabedi District Police Department, Police Lieutenant Colonel Elmir Demirchiyev spoke at the event.
It was noted in the speeches that illegal trafficking of narcotics and psychotropic substances and drug addiction is one of the main problems that concern the world today. The amount of damage caused by this problem is very large, and it leads to the degradation of the personality of the drug user, the decrease of the intellectual potential of the society, serious damage to the gene pool and many negative situations. Since the spread of drug addiction, which is a universal problem, has become one of the most important issues for our country to solve, our state has mobilized its capabilities and actively joined the international struggle, and the necessary legislative framework has been created within the framework of the work carried out in this field. In order to complete tasks arising from the "2019-2024 State Program on Illegal Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Their Precursors and Combating Drug Addiction" approved by Decree № 1334 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, dated July 22, 2019, a series of events are held in different regions of our republic with the participation of experts from relevant state institutions for the second year already, according to the Joint Action Plan of the Permanent Working Group of the NAP Central Office, "Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting" Closed Joint Stock Company and the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking. The goal is to inform young people and contribute to ensuring a healthy future through education.

At the end, the participants of the event were distributed visual aids, booklets (memory books called "Know the truth about drugs", etc.) prepared by the Working Group of the State Commission.
