With the support of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice, an event was organized in order to strengthen the propaganda work among the convicts who are about to be released in the penal institution № 16 of the Penitentiary Service about the harm of drug addiction to society and human health within the framework of the implementation of the Action Plan approved between the Youth Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Illegal Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs.

   Representatives of the permanent working group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Drugs, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the Youth Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Baku City Narcology Center of the Ministry of Health took part in the event.

   At the meeting, the audience was given detailed information about the prevention of drug-related crimes, the destructive effect of drugs on the human body, the social evils it causes, the role of the state in organizing the fight in this direction, the rehabilitation and reintegration of drug-affected convicts into society, the ways of the spread of AIDS and a number of infectious diseases.

   At the end, extensive discussions were held around the questions and necessary propaganda materials prepared by the Working Group of the State Commission were distributed among the participants.
