On October 25, an event on "Family: social norms and values" was held in Astara region in accordance with the Joint Action Plan for 2023 of the Central Office of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), "Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting" Closed Joint Stock Company and the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking.
First, the participants of the event visited the monument of the founder of the modern independent state of Azerbaijan, National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and laid flowers in front of the monument. The dear memory of the genius was commemorated with deep respect and reverence.
Young people representing Astara, Jalilabad, Lerik, Lankaran, Masalli and Yardimli districts took part in the event held in the Astara district Cultural Center.
Habib Jafarov- chairman of NAP Astara district organization, Zakiya Musayeva -deputy head of gender policy and youth work department of NAP Central Office, Firangiz Sadikhova-deputy head of Astara District Executive Power, head of socio-political and humanitarian affairs department, Head of Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs Ragif Allahverdiyev, Head of the National Information Sector of the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission, Department Head of Sumgayit City Narcotic Dispensary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Narcologist Vusal Jabbarov, and Police Major Orkhan Novruzov, Deputy Chief of Operations of the Astara District Police Department made a speech at the event.
It was mentioned in the speeches that one of the main challenges of the global world today is the fight against drug addiction and drug business. Our country increases its efforts in the fight against this scourge, accelerates the implementation of specific measures to eliminate the consequences caused by this or other areas.It"s already the second year that a series of events are held in different regions of our republic with the participation of experts from relevant state institutions according to the Joint Action Plan of the Permanent Working Group of the YAP Central Office, "Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting" Closed Joint Stock Company and the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking in order to fulfill the duties and tasks arising from the "2019-2024 State Program on Illegal Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Their Precursors and Combating Drug Addiction", approved by the Decree of the Head of State Ilham Aliyev dated July 22, 2019. The goal is to inform young people and contribute to ensuring a healthy future through education.
This important point was specially mentioned in the speeches that the family is the foundation of a healthy society and a strong state. The family is the keeper and transmitter of traditions. The individual is socialized in the family, acquires the qualities necessary to successfully serve humanity. All institutions of society and the state should be active and responsible in protecting family values. Each member of the society should closely assist the state in solving the problems that concern families. A healthy, strong family is the guarantee of the prosperity of any society.
