An educational event on "The role of higher education institutions in the fight against drug addiction" was held in the conference hall on October 31 of the current year, within the framework of cooperation with Baku Eurasian University, according to the Action Plan signed between the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotics and the Youth Fund.

 The event was attended by the assistant to the rector of the Baku Eurasian University, the responsible employee of the permanent working group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, the representative of the Youth Fund, the head of the investigation group of the Main Narcotics Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the doctor narcologist of the Republican Narcology Center and at the same time  extensive information were given on the risk factors of the use of drugs among young people, the properties of psychoactive substances and their harmful effects on health, methods of combating drug addiction and discussions were held on questions of interest to students.

 In the end, the necessary propaganda materials prepared by the Working Group of the State Commission end "Know the truth about narcotics", "The truth about marijuana" and "The truth about psychotropic substances" were distributed among the students.
