On November 23 of the current year, an educational event called "Value your life" was held at the Azerbaijan Tourism and Management University with the support of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the initiative of the "Youth Anti-Drug Addiction" public association.

At the event, members of the Parliament, the Rector of the University, the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Drugs, the General Anti-Narcotics Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Office of the Ombudsman, the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, the State Customs Committee and the Family, Women and Employees of the State Committee on Children"s Problems made a speech and in order to increase their knowledge about the problem of drug addiction, Participants were informed about the risk factors of drug use, the characteristics of psychoactive substances and their harmful effects on health, the stages of drug addiction formation, the importance of anti-narcotic propaganda, the methods of combating drug addiction, the effectiveness of search and operation measures carried out by law enforcement agencies in order to increase their knowledge about the problem of drug addiction and also information was given about the direction of activity of the 802 hotline.

At the end, students were presented with the necessary propaganda materials "Know the truth about narcotics", "The truth about marijuana" and "The truth about psychotropic substances" prepared by the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission.
