A seminar on "Let"s say no to drug addiction for the sake of a healthy society and a healthy future" was held under the joint organization of the Yasamal District Executive Authority and the Youth and Sports Department of Baku City.

   Before the event, an exhibition of paintings by the youth of the region was shown. At the event, the participants were given extensive information about the main objectives of the seminar. Later, speeches and discussions were held on the topic.

  Elshad Hasanov- head of the Yasamal District Executive Power, MP- Ulvi Guliyev, Jamil Amirov-head of the Yasamal District Police Department, Islam Aliyev- the Chairman of the Yasamal District Court, Huseyn Efendiyev-the first deputy of the Yasamal HDEP, Tanriverdi Aydinov- deputy of the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission for combating illegal drug trafficking, the deputy of the working group, Galib Mammadov- the director of the drug center, Fakhriyya Khalafova- Honored Art Worker, and others answered the many questions of the participants of the seminar in detail.

  It was noted that the implementation of the "State Program for 2019-2024 on illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors and the fight against drug addiction" approved by the Decree of Mr. President Ilham Aliyev dated July 22, 2019 continues. The strategy defined by the state of Azerbaijan in relation to this problem is continuously being implemented, consistent steps are being taken to educate the new generation in a healthy and national and spiritual spirit. Modern parks have been built in the region, leisure centers have been created, new football fields have been put into use, and the problem of employment of the population is gradually being solved.

  Students of higher schools operating in the region, secondary school students and public representatives took part in the event.

 In the end, the manual "Methodological recommendations for the identification of persons abusing narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances" prepared by the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission and "Know the truth about narcotics", "The truth about marijuana" and "The truth about psychotropic substances" were presented to the participants.
