Training was held on the topic of "Risk factors of drug use, properties of psychoactive substances, their harmful effects on health and the fight against drug addiction" in the Heydar Aliyev Center, together with the Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs operating under the Office of the Head of the Executive Power of Absheron District and the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs.

  The Deputy Head of the Absheron District Executive Power, the Chairman of the Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Drugs, the Responsible Employee of the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotics, the Head of the Department of the General Anti-Narcotics Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs deputy, a doctor-psychologist of the Republican Narcology Center of the Ministry of Health and the deputies of general education schools in the region, teaching staff, psychologists, nurses, as well as the chairman of the council of elders of religious organizations and representatives of the public participated at the event.

  The speakers gave the participants extensive information about the risk factors of drug use, the properties of psychoactive substances and their harmful effects on health, the stages of drug addiction formation, the importance of anti-drug propaganda, methods of combating drug addiction in order to increase their knowledge of the problem of drug addiction and the level of professionalism and discussed the questions of interest to the participants.

  At the end, the booklet "Methodical recommendations for helping to identify people who abuse narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances" prepared by the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission and the necessary propaganda materials were presented to the participants.
