According to the "Action Plan for 2022-2023 on the expansion of propaganda and educational work against drug addiction among teenagers and young people", an educational event on the topic "Drug addiction is a scourge of mankind" was held in Astara Pedagogical College in collaboration with the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, which operates under the Astara District Executive Power in order to  organize educational work among young people and teenagers regarding the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.

  The deputy head of the Astara district Executive Power, the responsible representatives of the Permanent Working Group of the Youth and Sports regional department, the State Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking, the director and teaching staff of the college participated at the event and extensive information was given about the risk factors of the use of drugs among young people, the properties of psychoactive substances and their harmful effects on health, methods of combating drug addiction

 and discussions were held on questions of interest to students.

  In the end, necessary propaganda materials called "Know the truth about narcotics", "The truth about marijuana" and "The truth about psychotropic substances" were distributed among the students.
