On May 27, a running marathon was held under the motto "Be one of us in the fight for health" with the joint organization of YAP Central Office, YAP Narimanov district organization and Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Education and Sports in accordance with the signed joint Action Plan for 2024 of the Central Office of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), "Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting" Closed Joint Stock Company and the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking.The purpose of holding the marathon is to strengthen the fight against illegal trafficking of narcotics, psychotropic substances and their precursors and the fight against drug addiction, and to remove young people from harmful habits.

At the event held at the stadium of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Education and Sports, the dear memory of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was commemorated with a minute"s silence. Then the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played.

In this field, state programs were adopted and various projects were implemented. Advocacy plays an important role in preventing harmful habits in our society, especially among the youth. In this regard, it is very important to protect the young generation from addiction to all kinds of harmful habits, especially the fight against drug addiction. The main goal of this event is to further strengthen the propaganda work related to the fight against drug addiction, which is one of the most painful problems of humanity, which has become a source of serious danger, and to ensure the continuity of educational activities conducted among teenagers and young people for the sake of our healthy future.
After the speeches, the marathon started. 150 young people participated in the marathon. Diplomas were presented to the winners of the competition.
