An event was held at Baku State University.

On May 27 of the current year, a the training was conducted on the theme "Actual issues of combating the illegal circulation of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances"by the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotics, together with the "Criminal Law Club" operating under the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the Faculty of Law of Baku State University, "Illegal Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Their Precursors and Drug Addiction" on the fight against within the framework of the State Program for 2019-2024.

The head of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of Baku State University and teaching staff, including law faculty students, responsible employee of the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, chief operational commissioner for particularly important cases of the General Anti-Narcotics Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a psychologist from the Republican Narcology Center of the Ministry of Health participated at the event.

 The reports of the representatives of the relevant institutions were heard on the topic, and the questions asked by the teaching staff and students were of a discussion nature.

 At the end, the booklet "Methodical recommendations for helping to identify people who abuse narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances" and other necessary visual aids prepared by the  Permanent Working Group of the State Commission were presented to the participants.
