On May 30, in Khizi district, event was held on the theme "Let"s fight together against the evil that threatens the society!" in accordance with the signed joint Action Plan for 2024 of the Central Office of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), "Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting" Closed Joint Stock Company and the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking.

 First, the monument of Heydar Aliyev, the founder of the modern independent state of Azerbaijan, the National Leader of our people, was visited, flowers were arranged in front of the monument.

 At the event held at the Heydar Aliyev Center of Khizi district, the dear memory of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was commemorated with a minute"s silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played.

 Ayaz Guliyev, chairman of the NAP Khizı district organization, Zakiya Musayeva, head of the gender policy and youth work department of the NAP Central Office, Khazar Aslanov, the head of the Khizı District Executive Authority, Mushfiq Mammadli, a deputy of the Milli Majlis, Ragif Allahverdiyev, Head of the National Information Sector of the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking and Vusal Jabbarov, head of department of Narcology Dispensary of the Ministry of Health, Sumgayit city, doctor-narcologist made a speach at the event and   emphasized the importance of education in the fight against drug addiction. It was noted that the "2019-2024 State Program on illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors and the fight against drug  addiction"  approved by President Ilham Aliyev is of great importance in terms of systematically fighting this problem. For the sake of a healthy society, the fight against harmful habits is always relevant. In modern times, protecting young people from harmful habits is an important challenge. Young people should give preference to gaining more knowledge, a healthy lifestyle, and at the same time, they should know how harmful and dangerous drug addiction is. It was pointed out that the training and education of our teenagers and young people, increasing their interest in science, education and sports is also an important factor in their getting away from harmful habits.

 The event continued in an interactive form and the questions of the participants were answered.

 At the end, the Anthem of the New Azerbaijan Party was played.
