"Life is precious, don"t sacrifice it to drugs!" in Shabran region on May 31. An event was held on May 31 in Shabran region on the theme "Life is precious, don"t sacrifice it to drugs!" in accordance with the Joint Action Plan for 2024 signed by the Central Office of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP), "Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting" Closed Joint Stock Company and the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking.

 First, the monument of Heydar Aliyev, the founder of the modern independent state of Azerbaijan, the National Leader of our people, was visited, flowers were arranged in front of the monument.

 At the event held in Shabran district Cultural Center, the dear memory of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was commemorated with a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played.

  Mehdi Balabeyov, chairman of NAP Shabran district organization, Zakiya Musayeva, head of gender policy and youth work department of NAP Central Office, first deputy head of Shabran District Executive Power, chairman of the Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs under the National Police Huseyn Ilyasov, Ragif Allahverdiyev, Head of the National Information Sector of the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Illegal Trafficking, Department Head of the Sumgayit City Narcotic Dispensary of the Ministry of Health, doctor-narcologist Vusal Jabbarov, participants of the Patriotic War, Shahriyar Eyvazli and Orkhan Khidirov, made a speech  about the formation of a healthy society in the fight against drug addiction. It was noted that the scourge of drug addiction, known as "white death" in society, causes incurable complications in human life. For this reason, there is a systematic fight against drug addiction in Azerbaijan. According to the "2019-2024 State Program on Illegal Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Their Precursors and Combating Drug Addiction", educational activities are also continuously carried out.
